The Design House 728717 Passage Brass Knob does not lock and is used in bedrooms, hallways, and other rooms where privacy is not important. Features include (2) non-locking knobs, one on each side of the door. Finished in oil-rubbed bronze and designed for left or right-hand doors, this knob fits the two most common backsets in the U.S. (2-3/4 inches and 2-3/8 inches). Use this knob on standard 1-3/8 inches and 1-3/4 inches thick doors with a cross bore 2-1/8 inches in diameter, or an edge bore 1-1/16 inches in diameter. (1 inch x 2-1/4 inches radius corner faceplate). The Passage Knob is ideal for installation on closet, hallway, and bedroom doors and not intended for locking purposes.
