The trundle can accommodate a mattress (not included) that is 7 inches or less in height and still fit under the daybed for storage. The trundle, when closed and without a mattress is approximately 5" high. There is approximately 12 inches of space underneath the daybed. This item is sold "ready to finish" i.e., it is ready for the purchaser to paint, stain or stain and lacquer. 20-year limited warranty included at no additional charge.
